Hi Gerry:
I am sorry to hear about your sudden leg pain. I am having something
similar but not an identical problem. I have pain in my right hip and often
this flares upand I can not walk. I tried taking celebrex for a few days.
I definitely helped. But I did not want to be on celebrex too long. Then
slowly I started taking ibuprofin as needed; eventhough I have not solved
the problem, I can walk normally with altered gait. I checked for arthrites
by X-ray and it was negative. I am trying to get an MRI done.
All of us should keep an eye on pain, because this is often caused by
some kind of inflammation, that is not good for the neres. Eventhough pain
is far from theb rain, I suspect, inflammaion produces soluble cytokines
that are not congenial for neurogenesis, a process that is probably
constantly going on in our body, albeit much in a much slower rate than the
neuronal death due to PD.
    Raj
