Gerry -
I have had PD for nearly 9 years (young onset) but have had atypical
progression from most (on again - off again control, bouts of severe
depression, ec.). Another problem I have developed is leg pain. I'm still
searching for the origin. I have circulatory problems and Raynaud's when
cooler weather sets in and take Trental - Pentoxifylline- for aching pain),
but this is pain so excruciating that I cannot bear weight on my leg (one
side only, thank goodness!). MRI's of my hip were OK, then my spine showed
herniations and bulges that were determined to be the culprits.

But here I am 8 weeks later, receiving physical therapy and chiropractic
therapy, pain pills, etc. and I STILL am having so much pain that I can
rarely walk, and if so not unassisted. I am seeing a specialist who will do
EMG (nerve) studies and a muscle specialists. And the rheumatologist thinks
its autoimmune-related and wants me to start on plaquenil.

Any body else want to toss their guesses into the hopper? The pain, the
unknowing, and the pain are driving me nuts!! Oh yeah, my ortho said my
gait had changed due to PD, and that this was probably a neuorpathy I'd have
to live with. UGH!!!

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift..That's why it's called the present!
