Thanks, Gail.

This article is not really surprising, nor is it "bad" news.  What Dr. Roses
is saying is that the past strategy of mass marketing drugs is going to
change for his company (GlasoSmithKline - GSK).  They want to focus more on
drugs that work in gene-specific cases.  That's GOOD news for Parkinson's!
We don't have the numbers like cancer, heart disease, etc., so this approach
can only help us.

I believe Dr. Roses is saying that GSK is trying to get away from
polypharmacy, where you take one drug then take two more due to side
effects.  He's a brave man to speak publicly about this fresh new approach.

I'm glad that someone is finally telling the world the truth - there is no
way one drug to be effective for everyone given our genetic make-up.  A
false assumption has been a marketing strategy for years.
