Henslowe's Diary (recently reissued by Cambridge) would be a good place to
start. I would also recommend Ann Rosalind Jones and Peter Stallybrass's
_Clothing and the Materials of Memory_ as a guide into the Henslowe
material as a key to the questions your student is asking.
