Dear listmembers, CONGRATULATIONS to Murray Charters, who has been awarded the 2004 Alan Bonander Humanitarian award! Murray will be receiving this award at the New York City Parkinson's Unity Walk on April 24th. For more about the award and the Unity Walk see: http://www.unitywalk.org/n_ChartersM.shtml Alan Bonander was one of the earliest PIEN members and a pioneer in utilizing the Internet to provide support and information to his fellow Parkies. He was much loved and respected by all of us on the Parkinsn list. Sadly, he died in 1996 from complications of asthma. The Alan Bonander Humanitarian award is presented annually at the Unity Walk to an individual who has made significant contributions to Parkinson's advocacy and education.
