  Hi
Melatonin may work in the early stages of PD. But, for advanced PD
patients it can worsen the PD symptoms.
      One can try alternate approaches.
Get rid of the pain if you have any. This definitely helps me to
sleep better and longer.
Try meditation when you are lying in your bed ready to sleep.
Occasionally, I try 1/4 th of a pill of valarian root.
Caution: Done't try anything without consulting with your doctor.
      Good luck!
      Raj
