Hi Larry,
My name is Paula from PA, 49 &356 days old, was diagnosed at age 37,
had deep brain stimulation on both sides in October 2000. It was
successful. It took away all the dystonia pain in my right foot and my
terrible dyskenesia. The downside is I wasn't able to discontinue or lessen
any of my meds. I take 7 - 1 mg Permax each day, 4 - 25/100 regular
Sinemet - had trouble with the Sinemet CR and taking Sinemet in liquid
orm - back to regular, 4 - Elavil , and 3 Amantadine.....plus Vitamins.
Ibuprofen helps me for pain in a matter of minutes.
  Hope this helps. Best wishes
Paula
