It's really funny, you never know how what you say/write will be interpreted. Peggy correctly interpreted my intent when she wrote that I was merely "... answering a question as to why bad things happen to good people". I should have realized that so sensitive a topic as the existence of God would touch a nerve and take off. It was not my intention to take attention or time away from PD, and I apologize. However, I think the biggest objection to the political posts was not that they were off-topic (they were actually related to PD), but that some of the posts were using inflammatory language. I don't believe that I insulted anyone in my posts - I never claimed "my God is better than yours" or that "people who don't believe in God will go to hell" - I don't believe either of those things. Those thoughts, and the desire to convert, are the products of some man-made religions. I don't believe in religion, though they can be of benefit to many people. I just believe in God. They really are two separate (though related) things. As for the article Ray referenced, I read it and found it just as opinionated as any article I have ever read on religion (both pro and con). It was full of opinions that were stated as fact, and that always makes me suspicious of the writer's intent. I could point out the instances, but since it the list was quite long, I didn't want to burden the PD list with such an off-topic message. If anyone is interested, email me and I can send it to you. I wanted to send it to you Ray, but I don't have your personal email. Now, getting back to the PD point (and hopefully staying there), has anyone heard of a relationship between PD and steroid use? This just came up on another site - at first I thought it was this one - and thought some of you might be interested, since the question under discussion is an important one, even tho we can't answer it.
