I need help. I need hope. I need guidance on dealing with this terrible
disease.

I don't need political opinions.
I don't need religious views.
I don't want to see people I care about and respect insulted.
I don't want to see anyone's religious, political and personal views
depicted as evil.

I will seek the help and understanding of all here.
I will provide the same to all regardless of their race, economic class,
occupation, age, political or religious beliefs.

It amazes me that Murray Charters can effectively post many articles
regarding progress and failures and roadblocks and breakthroughs, many of
which are a bit unflattering to the political leadership, and not wind up in
the middle of a political discussion. After not much thought I came up with
the answer. Murray posts the entire article many of which are from
respected organizations. He does so without degrading, insulting and
negative political commentary. Of course my opinion is many of these
articles already reflect the political bias of the writers but that's life.
The writers rarely make obviously insulting judgment calls. They, for the
most part, provide some unbiased background and then some quotes from people
interviewed. When the people interviewed are political candidates we expect
political rhetoric from them. Please note those candidates are not posting
their rhetoric on this board. Because of this Murray handles these delicate
subjects in a respectful manner. Most of the posts are informational and on
target and of PD interest...

Cheers to Murray. Not sure of his political opinions, not sure of his
religious beliefs and not sure of his education but I do know Murray does
not try let his personal beliefs overshadow what he has taken on as a
mission. Murray try's to provide Hope, Help and Guidance through his
complete compilations and posting on this board of on subject articles of
interest to the PD community.

Iraq, "Clinton Blow jobs", Haiti, Snake Pits, Venom, Forked tongues,
accusations of lies, accusations of declaring war on all Americans,
comparing the president to a terrorist, degrading peoples religious beliefs
even when they are not posted, insulting people who struggle with moral
dilemmas and more, have no legitimate purpose for posting here. If you have
those views they make great conversation among friends and enemy's. They
serve to divide and get your passions up. They make you feel better when
you voice them but they make you feel better at the expense of others.

When people feel they must stand out from the crowd and feel superior there
are two ways they typically go about that. The first is to proclaim they
have a better way or they have the answer or they are faster, smarter,
richer or prettier than others. That of course is kind of grade school
stuff. The other is to knock everyone else around them down by insulting,
degrading, declaring the other person is wrong, ugly, stupid or even of the
wrong race, religion or political party. I'll take the first any time. By
declaring that you have a great idea and then trying to get people to join
you in a positive manner to support you will unite people not divide them.
When you divide them you will always reduce your chances for success even if
it turns out were right.

I have not seen a single posting declaring those who believe in abortion,
human cloning, abortive stem cell research as evil people who will be the
downfall of all mankind. I don't recall seeing any posts declaring
President Clinton as the immoral scourge of the universe. Not one... Yet it
seems we seek people with different beliefs out and declare them the source
of our suffering. This does not serve to unite it serves to divide and
declare them as unwanted and unworthy of our caring. Gandhi, Christ, Mother
Theresa, Buddha, the Pope, John F Kennedy and Martin Luther King would never
act in a way that served to divide and degrade. Each of these great
leaders brought messages of hope unity and a better life for all. They all
recognized that to move forward they had to provide examples of leadership
that would raise them above the crowd and bring the crowd with them not tear
down the crowd around them. They took unpopular chances and made a
difference for all. They tried to bring everyone with them as they rose
above the crowd.

Peace and love to all.

Frank
