On Friday morning, the Senate adopted its version of the FY2005 budget resolution and thanks to all your hard work, this bill included an amendment by Arlen Specter (R-PA) to increase funding for NIH by an additional $1.3 billion. Senator Specter's amendment passed by a vote of 72-24. Without all of the calls, e-mails and faxes all of you sent, this would not have happened! Together we really do make a difference!
