Full-time Lecturers at U of T are eligible for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. Senior Lecturers have continuing appointments equivalent to tenure. ---- Woodsworth College at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time position as Director of the Academic Writing Centre at the rank of Lecturer, starting July 1, 2004. The successful applicant will be expected to have proven administrative skills, experience in writing instruction, in both one-to-one and group settings; experience in curriculum development and assignment design; familiarity with ESL instruction; a proven sensitivity to students with varying backgrounds. Duties include overall planning for the Academic Writing Centre, scheduling courses and instructors, preparing and distributing information, organizing instructors' meetings, liaising with Arts & Science course instructors, and counselling students. The successful applicant will also be expected to teach one course, related to his/her academic background. Qualifications should include at least a Master’s degree, and at least five years experience in an Academic Writing Centre.
