Hi Lisa,

First off, correct me if I'm mistaken, but your core.com e-mail leads me to think you must be in the one of the Great
Lakes states... If so, you may be close to the Movement Disorder Center in Chicago... A Movement Disorder Center that
specializes in Parkinson's is pretty much the only way to go, in my opinion, when you have been diagnosed with a long
term illness at a relatively young age.

I'm located in BC in Canada and am blessed to have the Pacific Parkinson's Research Center at UBC practically in my
back yard...

Why a Movement Disorder Center specializing in Parkinson's?

Well, they are almost certain to see the most Early Onset patients, you benefit from their Team approach, they will
almost certainly be on the leading edge with the newest treatments and Parkinson's Management Algorithm...

I went to UBC for a second opinion when I was diagnosed many years ago and I have the utmost trust in them...

I've enrolled in clinical trials through UBC and enjoyed the experience.

You may wish to review the Newly Diagnosed page on Parkinson's Society Canada's website...

Secondly, if you live near the Great Lakes, there are many other Early Onset "friends" close by...

You will find many bright young people (click on Minnesota for one) working on Parkinson's Advocacy...

We are going to New York next week to walk in the Unity Walk in Central Park with many many others...

cheers ..... murray

My husband is 47 and just diagnosed with Parkinson's. The DR. recommends starting out on Mirapex for his tremor and
for also delaying onset of more symptoms. Does anyone have any experience with this med? Do you think this is the way
to go? We are going to seek a second opinion also, but your input would be welcome. We are really quite devasted with
this, we have a 3 year old son, but plan to deal with it head on . We also see that there are several clinical studies
out there, would you recommend we go there?
Thanks, Lisa
