my sincere apologies to you Rayilyn...i would never intentionally misspell or mispronounce your name. i know that i should have checked but when i wake up at 5:00 in the am and read my listserv digest, i just write what i feel strongly about w/o a thought for correct spelling and grammer...hence the small number of my postings during the recent years...please forgive me. maxine, i would have certainly returned your emial had i received it. i think that my server is playing games with me and allowing the "enlarge your maleness" and the "increase the size of your bust" to come thru to me and deleting as spam the important emails. however would they know if i need a bigger anything?? oh well, tis the price we pay for technology. anyway, we sent Ali a pair of red boxing gloves and he returned them with his autograph on one of the gloves. we held a separate raffle for them and sold alot of raffle tickets to area sports bar owners who wanted them for their collections of sports memorialbelia and we raised around $900 selling tickets at $10.00 a ticket. as it turned out, the gal who won the gloves was a member of our Shake, Rattle & Roll committe and she turned them back in for me to resell. with the help of an internet friend from AZ, i was able to resell the gloves to a another group of out of state buyers who were interested in them for a jazz player who had written a piece about Ali as a tribute. they paid us an additional $1,000 so we were fortunate to make almost $2,000 from his one autograph. hope you do just as well with your gloves. once again, i apologize for my faux pas Rayilyn. mea coulpa....mea culpa! -- Joan E.
