I would be very careful of those chemicals.  For years my spouse took care
of our lawns and yards and had contact with lawn pesticides, chemical
fertilizers and so forth.  I'm sure there was breathing of the unseen
chemical dust that floated in the air and probably skin contact with them on
grass clippings and prunings (even if you wear gloves).  Of course we can't
prove it for certain, but we suspect that might have contributed to his
YOPD.  No family history.

I don't know if or what a "natural" solution would be for termites.  They
are tough critters to exterminate.
