I don't think a comparison of taking someone's money and the use of unused embryos for stem cell research is fair. If someone is savy enough to make a billion dollars they should be free to spend it as they will. Besides - Robbery is illegal.

If an embryo isn't going to be used to attempt to create a viable fetus and is going to be 'tossed in the trash' then why not use it for research/a cure for many different diseases?? Why does this have to be a political issue at all??

Raylin, from the bottom of my heart I do feel for the pain and problems you
are going through. I feel for many who have diseases. Don't attempt to
paint me as uncaring. This is typical of the liberal press. That is why
they like you.

You ask "what good comes from throwing embryos?" Many are only asking what
are the ethical issues involved with this complex matter. That is the
question you should be asking. You should be contributing to helping
resolve the ethical questions not painting those that ask the questions as
uncaring and evil.

Let me provide you with a "simile" you know what that is don't you?

What good does it do for one person to have a billion dollars? They could
not spend it all. This should give you the freedom to rob them of some
small amount. After all they would never miss it and it would do you so
much good.

The answer is... it would not be ethical. But of course the liberal press
would back you up and defend you if you carried out that robbery. They
would find some reason to blame others for your plight.
