Jeff, The Salem Witch Trials are a sad historical fact. Giles Cory and Mary Parker and about 20 other people and a dog were put to death by the Puritans as "witches"in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the 1690's, an example of religious EXTREMISM. They also killed some Qiakers, a peaceful and tolerant religious people. Surely the Puritans don't reflect your beliefs. This is what happens when people are right, right, right about their religion. The Puritans toned down over time and morphed into the Congregationalists, a big improvement.
