Dear friends, Late on Saturday afternoon, May 21, the Platform Committee voted unanimously to adopt my amendment to the platform of the Maine Democratic party. It strongly supports both embryonic and adult stem cell research. The floor debate has not yet occurred, because there was not a quorum present on Sunday when amendments were due to be debated by the delegates.. I am waiting to find out what will happen next.
