[Apologies for cross-posting] Call For Papers: Youth and Age in Early Drama The Medieval and Renaissance Drama Society invites abstracts for 20 minute papers to be delivered in the above sponsored session at the International Medieval Congress at the University of Leeds (11-14 July 2005). Session Abstract: This session examines youth and age in early drama. This includes not only all forms of mimetic representations of the differences or similarities between the old and the young, but any entertainments in which the concepts of youth, old age, or the stages of human life are depicted, enacted, or examined. Examples could include topics as diverse as: the interlude 'Youth'; Boy Bishop rituals; the slaughter of the innocents; or participation by the young or old in dramatic activity, amongst many other possibilities.
