I bought a U-Step and liked the braking system
which helps when freezing, but the small wheels
made it difficult for me to even get it from a
tile floor to a carpeted floor, especially when I
was off. I bought another conventional walker
with big wheels, a larger seat and larger basket
and found it to work much better for my needs.
And it is definitely too heavy for one person
(even ny husband) to lift into the car.

unless you have big wheels, no walker will do
well on gravel. I find the
Ustep as good as some larger wheeled ones but
it would be a good idea to try
   one first if you can
