It is open to the public, but is geared particularly to people with Parkinson's, care partners, family and friends. A $10 donation per person is requested. Local experts participating in the forum include Dr. Joanne Wojcieszek, a neurologist and movement disorder specialist at Indiana University School of Medicine; Dr. Eric Siemers, a neurologist and a Eli Lilly and Co. researcher; Dr. Xabier Beristain, a neurologist and movement disorder specialist at St. Vincent Hospital; and Tatiana Foroud, an Indiana University researcher. The Parkinson's symposium is sponsored by the Parkinson's Awareness Association of Central Indiana and co-hosted by Young Parkinson's of Indiana, a young-onset Parkinson's support group. Lieberman is the author of five books on Parkinson's disease and is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, American Neurological Association, and Movement Disorder Society.
