Parkinson's conference: Dr. Abraham Lieberman, medical director of the National
Parkinson's Foundation, is among the speakers at a symposium from 10 a.m. to 1
p.m. Saturday at The Marten House and Lilly Conference Center, 1801 W. 86th St.
(Indianapolis). It is open to the public, but is geared particularly to people with
Parkinson's, care partners, family and friends. A $10 donation per person is

INDIANA: Parkinson's Experts To Speak At Symposium
August 4, 2004

A nationally known expert on Parkinson's disease will speak at a symposium from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at The Marten House and Lilly Conference Center, 1801
W. 86th St. (Indianapolis)

Dr. Abraham Lieberman, medical director of the National Parkinson's Foundation,
headquartered in Miami, will be the keynote speaker at the symposium.

Local experts participating in the forum include Dr. Joanne Wojcieszek, a
neurologist and movement disorder specialist at Indiana University School of
Medicine; Dr. Eric Siemers, a neurologist and a Eli Lilly and Co. researcher; Dr.
Xabier Beristain, a neurologist and movement disorder specialist at St. Vincent
Hospital; and Tatiana Foroud, an Indiana University researcher.

The Parkinson's symposium is sponsored by the Parkinson's Awareness
Association of Central Indiana and co-hosted by Young Parkinson's of Indiana, a
young-onset Parkinson's support group.

Lieberman is the author of five books on Parkinson's disease and is a fellow of the
American Academy of Neurology, American Neurological Association, and
Movement Disorder Society.

A $10 donation per person is requested, and advance registration is recommended.
