Maryse, Yes, I know my 2 DBS surgeries (1 was a redo) which helped control my tremors was pioneered by a French doctor. My big problem is getting out of the country and paying for treatment. Medicare just barely approved payment for DBS right before I had them last year. From the looks of things, we may all have to find a way to go elsewhere than the USA. I'm kind of partial to the UK (I speak English, duh) and they are moving ahead too with the research.
