The problem with certain forms of current stem cell research is that living human beings (fertilized eggs, as believed to be the case by many) are being destroyed for the sake of the research. There have already been examples of people conceiving babies so that donor organs can be made available, and such organs are being sold in some parts of the world. Those who oppose certain types of stem cell research are not "frightened people". They are people of conscience who feel strongly about their beliefs and I resent your belittling them.
