Forum, by Paula Wittekind, editor of the Grass Roots Connection web site.
I thought PIEN members would like to know about this too. If you
haven't read the book "Saving Milly" by Morton Kondracke yet -- go
directly to your library or book store or Amazon, etc. and get a copy. I
think it is a must-read for everyone in the Parkinson's community. (you
don't have to wait for the movie version)

FROM: MGH BrainTalk Forum:
Saving Milly coming to television

<<Some of you may know that we have a Tribute to Milly page on GRC.. This
tribute just came in, and it's an exciting one for Parkinson's advocacy.
We have learned that it is most likely from Jeff Arch - see link below.

Here's what he said:

"I am the guy who wrote the screen adaptation for 'Saving Milly,' which
is scheduled for production this fall, for broadcast in March. This is
going to be a huge 'event' movie for CBS and I urge all of you to keep
your eyes and ears open for it, and to spread the word. Milly's death did
not have to happen, and Parkinson's Disease should be a relic of the past
by now. By telling Mort and Milly's love story, we hope to entertain but
also inform and energize as much of the population as possible, into
taking some kind of action and putting pressure on Congress and the
president, to get this research properly funded and to stop letting
politics stand in the way of progress, so that the suffering of so many
people can finally be ended. Milly should never have died like that, and
this tribute page should not exist. -- J.A., Santa Barbara, CA."

Milly is still advocating for us - in a very big way.>>
