Maybe you should ask the child that the tissue was taken from if it was worth it??  The govenment has no right to say that what they did was right or wrong and neither do we.  They did what was necessary to save their child's life.  Isn't that what we sign on to do when we have children??

No. At this point, I do not have "cites", but I do recall that, several years ago,
there was widespread media coverage about a couple which had a child that
suffered from a rare genetic defect that required a tissue transplant from a
genetically-related sibling. The couple made a new pregnancy so that the
tissue could be taken from the new baby (which, fortunately, in that case, was
not killed as a result, but was subjected to surgery for "donor" tissue).
