I know that our local center, KUMed, has some regs that they only do DBS after the patient has exhausted pharmceutical therapy, but I believe these are voluntary. KU has a video tape and handout that goes through the "what to expect" process and is fairly informative. These are free. If anyone wants one, you can email me and I will try to get a bunch and mail them out. You can email me directly at [log in to unmask] and put DBS tape in the subject line. Or is DBS only tried after levodopa no longer is effective? Thanks!
