Russ, a digest of all these responses would be greatly appreciated.  And
Ginny, thanks for asking for more info.  It all helps.  At our dept meeting
yesterday, my colleagues were asking for exactly this kind of information
(they also felt that the info we had been given was patchy and oddly
selective).  We had a long discussion, and it seems we have to submit our
formal response within a few weeks.  So any additional information would be
most helpful.
