NEW YORK -- Some pooches are man's best friend in more ways than one.

On Monday, dogs in Staten Island will be joined by Josh, the best- in-show dog at
the Westminster Kennel Club, for the first Pooches for Parkinson's walk.

The walk is to raise money for Parkinson's research. It's sponsored by New York
Save, which helps low-income New Yorkers whose pets need emergency veterinary
care, and the American Parkinson's Disease Association.

Joining the walk will be American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
Special Agents Joe Pentangelo and Joe Romano, who star in the Animal Planet
series "Animal Precinct."

The walk will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. along the Boardwalk Promenade at
Midland Beach in Staten Island.
