Audio Conference for Physicians: Off-time Management in PD with COMT Inhibitors

SOURCE: E-Move Thursday, October 7, 2004 _ VOLUME 1 ISSUE 47

WE MOVE is pleased to announce its new initiative in Parkinson's disease
education for physicians, "Off-time Management in PD: The Role of COMT
Inhibitors." This hour-long audio conference, moderated by a physician expert in
management of PD, will provide physicians with a working knowledge of the
practical clinical considerations associated with the use of COMT inhibitors in
management of "off time" in PD. Topics will include a discussion of "wearing off"
and the role of COMT inhibitors in management of "wearing off."

The greatest challenge of treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease is
management of complex and variable symptoms. Physicians who treat patients with
PD face numerous obstacles to optimal outcomes, including disease progression
and variable responses to treatment. Many physicians treating PD patients may not
be fully aware the palette of therapeutic options that are available to them. This
discussion, the first in a series, aims to increase awareness of "off time" in PD, and
provide physicians with the knowledge needed to treat it effectively.

The audio-conferences will be moderated by Stewart Factor, DO, The Riley Family
Chair in Parkinson's Disease, at the Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorder
Center of Albany Medical Collage, Albany, NY. The conferences will take place:

Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at 7:00 PM EST

Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 8:00 PM EST

Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 9:00 PM EST
