Hasimotos Encephalopathy (spelling) can produce symptoms similar to PD
though very rare. It is also possible to have both PD and HE.  In this
condition the immune system attacks the neurons and the brain in much the
same way that it attacks the Thyroid.  You can't have the encephalopathy
without the hypothyroidism.  The only effective protocol for treatment is
prednisone.

I just thought I would alert you of this condition to be on the lookout.  My
wife suffers from both along with PD and LBD.
