i'd start with "we move" < http://wemove.org/ > and carefully assess every neurological disease they list (links at left-hand side bar on their home page).    once your friend 'identifies' her symptoms, a movement disorder specialist may have better clues to recognizing her particular condition.      

alas, as you must know, the diagnosis 'parkinson's plus' was invented precisely for these neurological presentations that are close to parkinson's yet aren't quite (i.e., all those non-idiopathic PDs)...
