Ivan, I saw the 10 seconds of broadcast. The game was asking for the ICE Hockey Term demonstrated by Mr. Trebek. There was no mention of any illness and the statement was self deprecating, alluding to his own inability to demonstrate "Stick Handling ". Is a long leap to feel threatened or insulted by the word "shakes". I am not aware of any effort to change the language in order that PWP will never hear a word that offends them. When we do that I have some candidates: Stiff, clumsy, depressed, useless, restricted, ignored, patronized, desperate, angry, marginalized, incompetent, burden, drooling, and sensitive. Not to mention disabled and handicapped.
