Hi Dee:
I am not taking any prescribed medication for my PD since the day I was
diagnosed (in 1999). I am 71 now and taking only Ayurvedic medicine +
Anti-oxidants + vitamins. After 5 yrs into this regimen, I am having
(muscular?) pain in both my elbows, the right being worst, where my PD
showed its ugly symptoms. I am controlling it with Celebrex (100 mg/caps
twice a day). Pain in PD is a bad thing to have. This is caused by
inflammation, in which COX2 enzyme plays a major role not only in causing
the pain but also in helping the progression of the disease. Celebrex helps
me in pain, in retarding the progression of Pd and also in relieving me of
my postural instability.
Therefore, I think pain is part of PD and not caused by Stalevo.
    Raj
