Wright, has overseen publication of the first five volumes > > and would now like to pass the torch on to someone else. The position > > is (unfortunately) unpaid but the contract with Pegasus Press > > stipulates that the General Editor receive royalties of 2% once more > > than 500 copies of a volume have been sold. > > > > Stephen has prepared the following position description: > > > > The General Editor of the Early European Drama Translation Series is > > responsible for the following tasks: > > > > 1. Identify prospective contributors; solicit inquiries, proposals, > > and finished manuscripts. > > > > 2. Evaluate submitted proposals and manuscripts for inherent interest > > and value of the subject matter, the quality of the translation and > > commentary, and the general suitability of the book for the EEDT > > series in light of the aims articulated in its mission statement. > > > > 3. Identify and enlist the help of qualified external evaluators to > > read the most promising manuscripts; communicate the results of their > > evaluations and recommendations to both the translator and to the > > Publisher (Pegasus Press). > > > > 4.
