Listmembers, As many of you already know, Amgen issued a press release this afternoon stating that they would not reinstate GDNF treatment for the 48 trial participants. The Parkinson's community must let them know loud and clear that this was NOT the ethical, NOT the humane and NOT the medically correct decision. Today, the Parkinson's Disease Foundation http://www.pdf.org/news/news.cfm?type=1&selectedItem=205 and Parkinson's Action Network http://grassrootsconnection.com/PAN_%20Reaction_%20GDNF.htm issued statements against Amgen's actions. The voices of PWP need to be heard by Amgen too. Here's what you can do: 1. Get the Facts. Identify yourself as a PWP. 4. Contact your local television and newspaper media (ask for the Health issues contact).
