Jo Ann:
I am sorry to hear that you have to discontinue turmeric. I am trying
another approach tosolve my pain issue. I am using topical application of
Myoflex (over the counter medication) when ever I need. The medical
ingredient is Triethanolamine salicyliate. (sounds like alcohol molecule
attached to aspirin for easy absorption). I find this local application
helpful. At any cost, one has to minimise the pain caused by inflammation,
if we want to retard the progression of the disease. Pain due to
inflammation does a lot of things. It increases postural instability. Also,
it secretes inflammatory cytokines. This in turn, may attract tissue stem
cells to the inflamed site, thus diverting the mobility of stem cells to
substantia nigra, where they are needed to rejuvenate the lost neurons.
Also, I was suffering from heartburn. Reduction of body weight by about
8% relieved me of this problem. Whatever I am telling you is my personal
experience and deduction from my own ex[erience.lease do not taake this as
medical advice. I am not qualified to give any medical advice to anybody.
    Take care.
    Raj
