Mackenzie,
there is also a UN effort led by the US to ban ALL cloning. Diane Wyshak
has all the info on this.

I understand these federal bans would contain jail terms and up to $1
million fines if you somehow got to another country for help. Of course
Medicare would not pay for treatment, it just last year paid for DBS which
is very, very expensive. People with incurable diseases are really in a no
win situation. Cures would be so much cheaper.

So far, the AZ Republic has not printed any of my letters re state Rep
Stump's HB2221 to ban state funding of both therapeutic and reproductive
cloning. This guy is saying cloning (what kind is unknown) is dangerouas
for women. AZ State Rep Gray has bill to ban all cloning period. For some
reason the paper does not allow ltrs on this subject, altho I got myself into
buried news story about this issue and they have printed 2 of my ltrs on
other subjects. They daily print ltrs highly critical of Bush.

Next ltr will be "Do stem cells (if they are people)go to heaven?"
Ray
