Hi Jamie, and others,
The shuttle bus is operated by White Point and they have more than one. If
we have 6 passengers on a bus, we can get a reasonable rate. So, we thought
the best thing to do is to find out who wants it and what their flight times
are, and then co-ordinate specific departure times. I expect there will be
more than one departure time, both ways. So, it works best for us if you
simply book your flights with the beginning of the conference (registration
starts at 4pm Thursday 12th) and the end of the conference (12:00 sharp for
the meeting, but lunch is available until 1:30), keeping in mind that White
Point is about 2 hours from the airport. We won't leave anyone stranded, as
long as we have the info by early April. If anyone needs a ride at a bizarre
and inhuman hour (5am?), it can still be done but at a greater cost (unless
there are 6 of you!). White Point offers shuttles 24 hours a day.
Negotiations on such arrangements can be made directly with White Point.
The bus can stop in Halifax to pick up or drop off people who are coming
from town. We need to know that this is needed, especially on the return
trip, as it will affect the arrival time at the airport.
We will do everything we can to ensure everyone is delivered, but this
depends on our having the information to coordinate it.
So folks, please check out the flight deals and get the info in soon.
The other thing you need to do if you are coming is book your room by Sunday
April 10th. White Point is holding rooms for us until then. Rooms are going
on a first come-first served basis. Check out the choices on the interactive
map on the website. The desk staff at White Point are very helpful.

it stop anywhere in central Halifax?
