Hi Mojdeh, and other graduate students attending the conference,

Inkshed has offered some subsidies to graduate students to help them
participate in this conference, but the exact amounts available will depend
on the cost of the conference vs the number of participants and the number
of graduate students who apply. We usually ask (at the Annual General
Meeting on Sunday) for application via a memo with receipts. Cheques are
mailed out after the conference. This means that funding cannot be given out
ahead of the conference and I cannot guarantee an exact amount. Having said
that, I believe Inkshed remains committed to supporting graduate students'
involvement and there will be some money available again this year.

Other Inkshedders who hold influence over their departmental or
institutional budgets might also make an argument for support from home
institutions. Some Deans and VPs are persuaded to support students and
part-time faculty who have a letter of acceptance into a conference program.
If anyone needs a formal letter on official letterhead, please email me off
list at [log in to unmask] and I will provide one.

Jane.

Subject: Re: Inkshed 22 Conference registration

Hello Jane

I really like to present in the conference, so I would like to know
whether the Inkshed Conference can help me with the funding, since I
am a graduate student and paying the expences is difficult for me.

Regards,

Mojdeh
