Dear Morton, We told many people via word of mouth and/or email to watch the film on CBS last night. It was well done and a moving tribute to Milly, you and your daughters. Milly's spirit, spunk and gentle kindness live on in the hearts of many who knew her, met her briefly and many more now who have come to know her through this movie. Thank you for sharing your story and driving home the realities of this cruel disease, the symptoms of which are incomprehensible to all those who are spared the experience in their own lives. A suggestion: If there is talk or plans to reproduce the film on DVD, copies could be sent to each member of Congress and Senate, and our state representatives, as a reminder. To make it more powerful, let's include a personal letter written by someone in the Parkinson's community. Ideally the person would be one of their constituents, who along with the DVD and letter, would send a photo, telling their own personal story. A press release/story could be sent out informing the general public of this effort, asking for volunteers to write letters and interviewing in the national and local media, newspapers, radio and television, several representatives receiving the DVD's and letters, and the People With Parkinson's and/or their CarePartners, writing them. It would be a way to involve and make real the stories of people in our midst, who are living with and battling the symptoms of Parkinson's. How many people are single, living alone and/or without the means to have assistance at home to help out?
