I might be wrong, but I don't think it is the subject - I think it is
the anger that it produces on both sides of the issue. If people could
discuss the subject logically without name calling and flaming, I think
it would be a good idea to discuss. However, I don't think that is
possible. I understand the emotions behind both sides, but if people
don't put that aside, the focus will always be the anger, not the issue.
Anyway, that is my opinion - I'm sure others will disagree! :)

you know,  it's really  too bad we can't  discuss  the  politics of
stem
cell  research on this list.  If not here, where?  This is one issue
that
really affects me personally,, unlike the war, gay marriage, etc.

Seems from  one of Diane's  posts some substantial progress with stem
cells
has been done in Scotland.
It's not going to be easy  going there for help and being  jailed and
fined
if certain legislators  have their way, when  I  return.  This  presents
a
real financial problem.
