Hi Ray --
The message should have read PWPs instead of Peps and UCSF instead of US.
Weird -- I must have been asleep or something when I did the spellchecker.
;-)

DBS can definitely be an emotional and physical roller coaster ride as we
are finding out.  They are currently involved in clinical trials at UCSF
using general anesthesia as opposed to having the patient awake during the
majority of the procedure.  If the results are comparable, perhaps this will
allow more people to be eligible for the surgery and make it easier for some
to endure.
