one definition of "embryo":
in vertebrates, the period from after the long axis appears until all
major structures are represented. In humans, this from about two weeks
after fertilization to the end of the seventh or eighth week (Morris
1992).

"embryonic" stem cells are usually taken from an earlier stage of
development, less than two weeks old. "embryonic" has two
definitions, one is "relating to the embryo", but the other, more
appropriate in this case is "in an early stage of development".

i guess "blastocystonic cell research" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
