Monica, I recently volunteered for a study. As part of the physical
evaluation for the study, they requested that I arrive without having
taken my first dose of Parkinson's meds that day. I did, they evaluated
and then I ramped up my first dose of the day. Within one and one-half
hours, I was feeling fairly normal. The net result was that I missed one
of my four daily doses and some "on time" that day.
DISCLAIMER: I am reporting my experience. Since Parkinson's is a
designer disease, you may - or may not - have a similar experience. Good
luck, Geo.

Parkinson's Clinic

Hello;
I wanted to ask a question about meds. I will be going to a Parkinson's
Clinic where they will run me through a series of assessments through the
course of a day. The nurse said that it will be probable that they will
ask
me to stop my medications through the day and until I have seen the
Movement
Disorder Specialist. I guess I am worried about that, because I get very
bad
off sometimes if I am late with a dose. Is this something to worry about?
Has anyone had to "perform" without meds for the Doctor? If so, how long
will it take to get back up to speed after resuming them? Any thoughts?
Thanks, Monica
