Hi, Jo Ann,

Well, it's bittersweet news about Howard.  You want your youth and
independence to last forever, but at the same time, even he seems
happier in your note, now that he's getting better care.  I hope there
is someone who is there for you as well, at least to talk, because
this is not only hard on the afflicted ones.  We're celebrating my
mom's 90th this year.  She had a big stroke in '03, and has fought
very hard to get to the point where she can live with assistance.
Still fighting to preserve her last bit of independence.  And I must
say she has 'em all hopping.  She's the queen of her world, and she
deserves it.  I hope Howard gets it his way, where he is too.
