> Faith is believing something you know is not true.

I don't really think that is the usual definition of Faith.

Faith has two components, one is self created:
A person believes in something, say the existence of God.
This belief is essentially internally generated, based on one's
environment and world view.

The other one is accepting the voice of a trusted authority. In either
case faith
is acceptance as valid of something that is not directly observable
or the transmission of information by a trusted source.

It is *not* accepting of something that is untrue.
