The Bible never did make any sense to me when I first read it at age 6, it
still doesn't.  It reflects a tribal, angry, smiting, jealous  God that I
just can't identify with. maybe that 'identification" is the key to belief.
All those hairy, begatting guys just don't appeal to me as the last word.

It doesn't discuss stem cell research because it was written by men who
didn't know anything about it.
Not taken literally, it has many inspiring passages, but the call now is for
a literal interpretation, truly a return to the past.

This is why it is relevant to Parkinson's.  Too many people who follow it or
supposedly do, have already stymied research for 4 years.  I know now there
will be no progress in my lifetime because those in power call the shots and
they are definitely anti-science.
