The "Microscopic Americans" movement is now underway according to the conservative National Review. Growing numbers of right-wing crusaders are pushing to enshrine in law the religious belief that these microscopic clumps of undifferentiated cells have the same inalienable rights as "post-born" Americans If they succeed we could lose not only abortion, but contraception, in-vitro fertilization, genetic testing and stem cell research. These "pre-born" clients, 60% of which, by some estimates are lost to natural causes at all stages, constitute "murder" .
