Thank you Joan and John Your postings expressed so well how each of us in our own ways can make a difference, especially significant since April is Parkinson's Awareness month. Since its beginning over 10 years ago, the Parkinsn List and many of its members have been very involved in advocacy and political action for increased research funding for PD and to support and protect all types of research that could lead to the cure. And we are getting closer! Thanks also and congratulations to Barbara Patterson and John Cottingham for creating and providing this forum. It was great talking with you and seeing you receive your awards at the Unity Walk. The initial estimates announced at the Walk were that 8,000 people attended and over $1 million dollars was raised - to be shared among the sponsoring PD organizations.
