(Cdn.). Supervisor: Professor Anne Lancashire, English Dept., University of Toronto; editor, Records of Early English Drama (REED): civic London. Location: Toronto, Canada. Responsibilities: all required tasks, as assigned, in preparing the London civic volumes for publication. E.g., finding and checking references and dates, proofreading, researching and writing notes, searching/checking primary sources, wordprocessing, coding text, secondary reading, and other academic duties as required. Minimum qualifications: completed PhD, with historical focus, in medieval or early modern period in England. Good background in history, attention to detail, excellent proofreading skills, quick and accurate in secondary reading. Basic computer skills; basic Latin. Analytical, flexible, reliable; independent worker who also functions well as a team member; demonstrated ability to meet schedules and deadlines. Ability to read medieval and early modern hands/manuscripts, and/or greater than basic Latin skills, and/or Anglo-Norman, all pluses. Editing experience a strong asset. Strong oral and written communication skills. If not a Canadian or a landed immigrant, must have appropriate documents permitting work in Canada.
