Liz, it is so good of you to stand by your friend the way you have,

My best friend just died in Dec of osteocarcinoma and because of my PD I
couldn't see her, but we did talk on the phone about dying. I recounted to
her how I had nearly died during my 2nd surgery for arterio-venous fistulas
(I'm also an ovarian cancer survivor) Ii told her I felt a great sense of
peace and lack of fear and that when I had cancer I figured I would give it
my best shot and the rest was not up to me. It is so hard to know what to
say, but in her last emails she always ended with "I love you" I will never
get over losing her, she was younger than me.

It brings tears to my eyes to write this, but I think your love and caring
for her is all we have. Good for you and thank you,
Ray
